I know you’ve been told about the dangers of eating emotionally, but the truth is that if you want to enjoy permanent weight loss you want to eat emotionally.
What’s the catch?
Well, the way we currently eat emotionally is to react to negative emotions with food. We stuff our anger and our stomachs. We bury our sadness beneath heavy sauces. We drown our sorrows in alcohol or icecream. We assuage our boredom with endless new artificial flavors.
We choose our food to mirror the way we already feel: heavy, ordinary, unloved, bored, despairing, invisible….
